Slave For God Not For Money
Matthew 6:24

Matthew 6:24 should be considered a Law of nature for all men. In any kind of work environment it is wise for one to know the chain of command and slave for the very one over him. If he is slaving for the one placed over him he is also slaving for all those above his master. Putting this scripture to use in any work environment almost guarantees success in that job. Now if this is the case for men then one can be 100% guaranteed success if he does this while working for God. The problem with some people is that they tend to look past their immediate supervisor and try to slave for the one over their immediate master. Or they self appoint themselves as the masters of their sheep forgetting that each of us is to slave for the other. By becoming masters over their sheep, their sheep have to listen to them, and what happens is that they teach their sheep something other than what Christ teaches. Our immediate supervisor is Christ Jesus he is the Head of every man. If we obey Jesus Christ we obey his God and Father in the heavens. We, as Christians, are to be slaves toward each other in union with Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:3 GNB But I want you to understand that Christ is supreme over every man, the husband is supreme over his wife, and God is supreme over Christ.

John 13:12-18 GNB After Jesus had washed their feet, he put his outer garment back on and returned to his place at the table. "Do you understand what I have just done to you?" he asked. 13 "You call me Teacher and Lord, and it is right that you do so, because that is what I am. 14 I, your Lord and Teacher, have just washed your feet. You, then, should wash one another's feet. 15 I have set an example for you, so that you will do just what I have done for you. 16 I am telling you the truth: no slaves are greater than their master, and no messengers are greater than the one who sent them. 17 Now that you know this truth, how happy you will be if you put it into practice! 18 "I am not talking about all of you; I know those I have chosen. But the scripture must come true that says, 'The man who shared my food turned against me.'

Today it is very evident that Christians have forgotten who their immediate supervisor is, and have a kind of superficial understanding of the Almighty. Many Christians have never even bothered to listen to their immediate supervisor's words. Yes it’s true! Some Christians have never read the Bible or at least listened to it on tape. And some have come to the false conclusion that money is a necessary condition in order to have a good life. When asked, many of these so called Christians claim that they have no time to read or listen to the Bible.  They have also been inclined to try and force anyone else who does not slave for money to do so, and they hold all those who make a bare minimum in derision. Can these Christians be considered slaves of God walking in the footsteps of Christ? Certainly not!

Revelation 13:16-18 Webster 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save him that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty six.
